hi
hello..
i am shawna..im from westcoast canada..although my climate doesnt allow for cacti (unless there is a cactus who would enjoy 9 months of rain!) i am facinated by cacti and would like to grow some indoors..
i am a plant lover..i grow a large vegetable grden every year and have many lovely perennial flowers..my home, patio and garden are covered with little potted plants and seedlings..i am always experimenting and expanding my botany knowledge..
i am very excited about growing cacti..i have only a few atm but i have sown mny seeds and im pleased to announce i have many cute lil fuzzy babies (im going to need help identifying them!)..i enjoy looking at everyones collections and am very inspired to grow them..
i welcome all advice you may have on starting an indoor collection..
thanks for the helpful forum and thank you for all the hard work it has taken to create such a site

Welcome!
I'd recommend unglazed terra cotta pots for growing cacti indoors as they let the soil dry out quicker than ceramic or plastic.
I'd put them in a south-facing window if you have one -- cacti need a lot of light.
