Awesome Darryl! We need a pic with Jen standing inside for relative size. Maybe one with her ceremoniously placing the first plant.

Thanks guys. No progress since, been sick with the flu.
Hopefully it will be complete and loaded this week.
Then I gotta find some plastic to cover it for the winter.

Good idea Daiv! :)

Too bad the plastic cover couldn't somehow go inside. then it would get UV protection from the shade cloth.

It would be really cool to have a retractable cover like a window shade or something.

I was wondering how long it would take you to get one of those Whitesolona's, probably one of Jen's favs. Mine has buds, but the flowers haven't opened up yet.

Are you going to put side on the shade house to keep the bugs and mice out?

With the little rain we get here and my already busted budget, I'm just going with the simple plastic cover. I'll add something to angle the roof pitch and funnel it into a black trash can for storage. But ya a retractable roof would be cool and actually quite simple to make.

Yup, the WS is a Jenni plant :) had it for a few months now.
Yes, I will cloth the sides. I might have enough to double up from the benches to the ground or maybe use some lattice. I also have a bunch of left over 70% cloth but in various sizes. If I can make it look good pieced together I may go that route since I have it already. Stronger and denser than the 40% to keep out the critters.

More Arios for the people! They do provide, don't they?

Nice shade house indeed. Great job.
My guess is another one goes up next year. :wink:

Thanks guys.
I'm gonna beat a path in the lawn between hanging out in the SH and the GH ;)

You may be right, DW :shock:
2007 = shadehut
2008 = greenhouse
2009 = shadehouse
2010 = ???

BTW, the shadehouse is strictly spines. The softies are all in the greenhouse with the seedlings... :roll:
