All Gibbaeum go dormant in Summer, a little summer water won't hurt them, they are pretty hardy
But you need t keep them dry enough so they don't stack leaf pairs
As you can see, the old leaves are still present, but will shrivel by summer

Lithops optica Rubra
April 29, still have their old leaves, and the fruit have not dried up enough to be ripe yet

Lithops gracilidelineata
One of the earliest to flower, and earliest to lose their old leaves and have ripe fruit

Lithops gracilidelineata waldroniae
Different forms, including Red and Lithops gracilidelineata "Cafe au Lait" on the bottom left and top right

Hello! Haworthia collector here 😁 I’m new and I didn’t know where else to contact you. I tried to submit an order request 3 times but I don’t think it went through. I filled everything out.

I enjoy seeing everyone’s pictures but I’m not very good on navigating forums.

Hope to hear from you soon :)

Some more Adromischus

Adromischus marianiae geyeri
Seems to be pretty uncommon in cultivation
Slow grower

Adromischus marianiae antidorcatum
I had 2 clones but lost the other lighter one

Adromischus marianiae "Bryan Makin" Breetkriet
We call it "Mak-In-Beans" due to it's bean like shape

Another photo of "Sea Slug"
Which I've decided is a form of Adromischus marianiae herrei
since only herrei has the same texture
IMG_0635.JPG

I just re-found this plant in my collection
and for a while couldn't figure out where it came from, since it seems to have came out of no where
But now I remember, I got it about 20 years ago as a form of A. herrei
From the Adromischus book, it looks like A. marianiae "Multi-Color"
I asked Steven Hammer about "Multi-Color" and he said it's not a valid form
It got lost and I thought it was long gone, but my better growing conditions have given it new life!
IMG_0641.JPG

As you can see, it grows different colors depending on light and water

Mesemb flower time

Antimima ventricosa, possibly the best flower in the Mesemb family
needs extra waterings in the Fall to coax it to flower,
our rainy Fall did the trick this year
I have 2 clones and the other one lost it's buds just before flowering, so no seeds yet
I had a better photo of this many years ago, it's being used on internet by other folks
I think my photo quality has gone down over the years

Pot full of about 4 year seedlings

Titanopsis primosii
I have been hoarding these guys for years now because they all look a little bit different,
Can't decide which ones to keep
But last year I grew so many seedlings that now I have too many
I really shouldn't worry, no one orders them anyway, along with most of the other great Mesembs
This seedling is exception

After a quick Google search, I should probably call them all Nananthus vittatus

This Mitrophyllum grande I got from Mesa Gardens a long time ago is finally flowering
But I'm confused, my books on Mesembs don't have any white flowering Mitrophyllums
And I have another white flowering one I got from Steven Hammer, I will have to cross them the next time

I wonder what Aloe honey tastes like? I used to be a beekeeper in the late 1980's. You'd need huge acreages of Aloe's to be able to know for sure you had pure Aloe. Just wondering. Around here our major honey crops are Tulip Poplar (very dark) and Black Locust (very light-water white in fact). Both are trees. The fall gives Goldenrod and Asters (also very dark if I recall correctly). Both are herbaceous plants. Only one time did I notice pure frames of Black Locust. We had an amazing bloom that year. Everywhere I looked I saw the white flowers in the trees. I extracted them individually. That was some of the best honey I've ever had.

As an aside: where did you post your picture of the 20-20-20 fertilizer with Micro Nutrients you use? I can't remember where I saw it. I am wondering what the label says about which micro's are added, and how much.

Interesting, they forgot to provide what the Iron is derived from. Probably Iron EDTA like the other chelated micros.
