Thelocactus setispinus (labelled as Ferocactus setispinus). Not hopeful it will be open before comp. ends to post flower but according to this guide it should be yellow

This is truly a difficult topic. I do have several candidates that may be good to enter, but I decided to go with the Echinocereus triglochidiatus buds. They are the most colorful. The others I will post on the other thread.
