this is the only photo that I have of Eriosyce umadeave after "cleaning" the seeds, but some small portion of a brown coat still remains into the rugose surface.

Yes, the seeds get darker when they are cleaned. Thanks for showing that picture!

The megliolii seeds are very large

Very nice tenebrica grafts :thumbright:
I will do some FK 402 grafts on Selenicereus stock later on in our spring ;)

I also remember E. megliolii seeds being larger than E. umadeave, but a year on the seedlings of E. umadeave are already much bigger.

They look a touch small, but maybe they could start flowering this year. The flowers usually look great on this one.

I dug up some Copiapoa esmeraldana today, just for you. Or perhaps because the two biggest seedlings seemed to be starving some smaller ones

Decent taproots on the big two, reaching to the bottom of an 11cm pot, very few roots on the little ones.

Thanks Ian, that's informative images. I didn't know that this species develop so deep taproots

Must create my own pots soon; 6 cm wide and 15 cm high

The roots are not a continuous extension of the body, but are thickened a little like C. humilis. Not as big and fat as C. humilis though.
