I'd guess you've really success with sowing, Christer. Really nice seedlings but it's a long time to wait for the first blooms. If I'd see a plant that I like, I'd want it as fast as possible with blooms. (sometimes)
Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

Yes, all seeds I sowed this season germinated well, even one (1) Eriosyce umadeave :D

I like to sow seeds that I am sure about what it really is and I want to learn about the species what they want and like when growing them. A lot of experiments ;) Besides, we have no good plant source here in Sweden  If and when SuccSeed sell Chilean plants I order all I can ;)

2009 was the first year I tried to graft and now I have over 30 grafted plants that grows really fast, plants that I will degraft later :D

Eriosyce aspillagae
Whatever it is, it looks thirsty! Here's a picture of E. aspillagae from last year, and it is even fatter and greener after the winter.

Good news on E. umadeave. Even one is good. After last year's success, I have just a single seedling this year. I'm still working on it though, but it isn't hopeful.

Yes, my aspillagae from seed has white spine as well, but not so distinct tubercles.
