NCCSS show pics

Post by lancer99 »

The National Capital Cactus & Succulent Society held its annual show and sale yesterday and today. Here are pics of some of the show plants, some not very good, since they were taken against a light background:

Gymnocalycium saglionis:

Wigginsia (forgot which species!):

Opuntia decumbens, nice and furry:

Giant Crassula 'Gollum':

Dideria trolii:

Kleinia obesa/Senecio deflersii:

And of course, a few Euphorbias!

E. abdelkuri:

A nice E. capsaintemariensis:

Big E. stellata:

And E. unispina:

And the biggest E. esculenta I've ever seen!

There were lots of plants on sale at bargain prices, and I could have easily walked away with 20 or 30, but since I'm in tightwad mode, I just ended with with five...for $16!

Cheers,

http://cactiguide.com/cactus/?uname2=We ... comayensis

Rebutia neocumingii=Weingartia pilcomayensis, W. lanata
That's my first stab at it anyway. The one in this post is exceptionally woolly. :D

That's it! Thanks for jogging my aged brain cells!

There was another one of the same species next to it, but didn't have nearly as much wool....

Nice pics, Robert.
Unfortunately that O. decumbens has been growing in very low light.
