Eurphorbia sp. question

Post by DzienDobry »

I bought a eurphorbia sp. unknown years ago from a garden centre. I have seen this same one branching before, please bear with me. I am not so hot with succulents, they don't have areoles, yet the columnar ones seem to branch (the ones similar to mine do anyway).

My question is this, the little guy had an accident (dropped down stairs!), this smashed the tip up, so I cut it back, and 18 months later no sign at all of new growth. Why is this?

I think it's just testing your patience :)

IME Euphorbias, even the "common" ones, can be very finicky. Sometimes they take several seasons to get going again.

But as long as it looks healthy, I would just counsel patience. Probably/hopefully it will get going again next Spring....
