First one could be M. albilanata. Second looks like M. hahniana.

Thanks Iann, I was never sure about the hahniana ID for Nr 2 because it didn't have bristles and up to six centrals. The flower looks right.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I would call the hairs on that M. hahniana bristles. On cactus, I think there are bristles, spines, or felt. Bristles range from hair-like to spine-ish.

I'd call that an M. hahniana.

Seems normal enough for M. hahniana although perhaps a subspecies like ssp woodsii that has more centrals.

The first one might be M. hahniana too. It has rather bristly radial spines as well as a good set of bristles in the axils, not common features in M. albilanata.
