we have all at one time or another posted a link to another page or another site that stretches the page far too wide. heres how to get round that......and name the link to whatever you want to call it.

the normal code for a link is ......

the link name

to do the above the code is changed like this

the link name]whatever you want to call it

important .....no spaces between code and words

thus http://www.cactiguide.com/forum/index.php

could be forum

Great info, but don't you just click on links no matter how long they are? Isn't it just as easy to click on long links as short? (I'm probably missing something as usual)

Tim that was written to prevent page stretching which messes up the format of the message board
like this.

Hob is correct, a shorter link is also neater within a paragraph.

Good example Hob...as I scroll back and forth horizontally to read the loooong link.

How do you make a link be opened in a new window?

I tried adding target=_blank after the url and it didn't work...
