Save the Cactus: Worth Saving?
Howdy Folks
I have another neighbor who is starting to tear out several very old cactus stands.
Three varieties here. The biggest to the left is over 10ft. tall.
One down for the count. Many branches not looking too healthy.
As you can see, one is already down. There are more that I did not photograph.
If you have any idea what I am looking at here, and which may be easy enough to propagate, please let me know.
Best, Barefoot Ted

The two big ones are your standard Cereus species or what most refer to as C. peruvianus.
The smaller ones are Echinopsis spachiana.
They are all three extremely easy to grow. They tolerate a wide variety conditions, grow fast, and flower readily. Hence their popularity.
All you have to do is stick them in the ground, they'll do the rest.
For that matter, if you just left them laying there, they'd root out the side and grow up from there.
