Monographs for Cereus and Hylocereus?

Post by Loph »

Do they exist? The books i have (like the 2 bigguns that re newer) and other general cacti books, to be blunt, suck. too vague, no detail and...ya...leave too many questions. Even just studies, in depth ones, that talk about a few species is cool. the way the books i have written you can take a species description and apply it to 20 different species.

Also looking for hylocereus. i have a few journal articles that are real nice, but they are more to do with hybrids and fruit than describing other species not used in fruit production.

I don't know of a "book" on either one either in print or out-of-print. Your best bet is going to be journals. There are several out there. The CSSA journals are available on DVD up to a point and make life much easier when you are looking for a particular bit of information.

I have access to pretty much every journal on C&S. If you know which ones you are looking for, let me know. I can also look into them and see if they match what you want.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
