Looking good, Alex!!

And you've got hooks on your Mammillaria coahuilensis, that looks nice :)
So you have done some Astrophytum caput-medusae on different stocks, that will be nice to compare! I am tempted ;)
Are you using shorter stock now?

really nice and healthy looking grafts! what a difference between those caput medusae growing on pereskiopsis and hylocereus!

Thanks!!

I've grafted ACM also on Pereskiopsis, but the best growth for now I get on Selenicereus. The grafted one on Hylo is growing some shorter but it is making buds also.
Since two years I'm making lower grafts on Selenicereus. They grow at the same speed and are much more stable.

Aren't I the lucky one that chose to graft on short stocks to begin with
But for me it was the lack of tall stocks and a lot of them that made my choice

You've made a good choice, Christer. If you feed them well, they grow as fast as on larger stocks.

Check out these larger grafts:

and some newer ones...

Selenicereus

What substrate do you use for Selenicereus? I have a bunch of seedlings that aren't growing very fast in my standard C&S mix. I think I'm probably growing them too hard.

I'm using a standard cacti soil, adding 30% of worm humus or any other organic fertilizer. Together with our hot weather, it makes them grow like weeds! 8)
