propagating Cereus genus

Post by Jeff »

Hi, I've taken a cutting from my Cereus Validus or C. Rependus (i can't tell). the cut has sealed but no roots have appeared as i was lead to expect.
It's been about 6 weeks should i plant it anyway or is there some way to encourage root growth?
i live in Sydney, mild, sunny and mostly dry.
thanks

I guess it's a littlelate for rooting hormone?

I think you're just going to have to wait.

Jeff,
Those Cereus are far more forgiving than most. As long as the bottom has had a chance to heal, you can go ahead and plant it. It won't take to long for it to establish itself.
