Contest 61: Two Day Vote-Off!

Post by John C »

Creative cacti is always a fun theme to me because there is always such a variety of totally unique entries, with that said, everyone had great pictures. The following are the two top photos with 6 votes a piece:

Hob - Invasion fleet from the planet Micromeris drawing near

StrUktO - RARE! Ebay Cactus RARE!

Look over the photos and make your decision, they are both very creative and both deserve it, but only 1 can win!

You have only two days to vote, so let the voting commence!

Yes Hob, but then we had this addendum in 2008?
Dec. 11, 2008
Addendum 2:
Rule 14: In the event of a tie, the contestents will go head to head in a 2-day vote-off. In the event the vote-off produces another tie, we draw cyber straws! I will have a set number of straws in various lengths, each with it's own number (1 to 10) The contestants pick a number and the longest straw wins. I will provide a photo of the numbered straws to 2 other members for verification purposes, who are not part of the vote-off, but were a part of the contest.

After all this is an US based forum so as it is in Presidential elections the winner takes it all, right?

Good point Hob. I had forgotten about that. I wasn't sure what I should do with the tie so I figured I follow what Darryl put in the rules.

What do you guys think?

I didn't realise they draw straws for US President in the event of a tie.

If it were a single transferable vote I would have voted for Tony's lovely Miniature Sonoran Desert Rock Outcrop as my second. Just wanted to say that in case he thought no-one appreciated it.

I too didn't read that rule, and I didn't know this part of the US elections too, is that drawing of straws a grand ceremony?

I vote hob for president ;)

Good point there. Maybe we should leave it with two winners if the two day vote off breaks even too.?

Ooops, I didn't mean to edit your post Jens, I meant to push the quote button. I hope I corrected it all right.

Anyhow,

I don't think that is a bad idea. Besides, the drawing of straws seems more complicated than it needs to be.

Well I missed out on the vote off! I didn't realize I was absent that long. Well I thoroughly enjoyed all the entries. I think worthy choices made the final. In fact I even voted for one of those two on the first round....
