Add Friend/Add Foe What's that all about?

Just noticed this new feature on the member profiles and was curious about what it does. But mostly the "add foe" option.

Apparently that function is used often enough on other boards to be included by default with the forum installation. As I rarely visit other forums (due to time constraints), I don't know how useful that would be. I certainly don't see much need for it here.

Usually the only people that get put on foe lists are the ones that fight with people. I've never seen any fights here, but I have seen quite a few hilariously childish arguments on other forums.

I would say that means: cacti-growers and other cacti-lovers are grown up persons, not some spoiled childish punks.

The "foe" or "ignore" function is very useful on other forums where you get trolls, fights, or just plain nasty people. But as you say, I can't see it being of much use on this forum. Folks here are just too nice.

I never saw much use for the "friend" option.
