Copiapoa Cinerea

Post by bobydodge »

My Copiapoa Cinerea is flowering at the moment i have looked allover to find if they are self fertile but cannot find a solid anwser.
Perhaps the concrete trick is in order.

Not usually self-fertile, but worth a try anyway. I've certainly been able to self-pollinate other Copiapoas from time to time.

Holy response time Batman. Thanks Tons

Hmm i Do have a few C Dura also but not in flower unfortunately.

ill give it a shot anyhow with some random cactus pollen or concrete.
I did find nearly 100 seeds hidden away in the lil bugger though so thats a nice bonus to me. =D>

It is using concrete in place of pollen just to dust the flower. Not sure if linking to other forum's is allowed. I'll look and post a link if allowed.

I don't see anything in the Faq against links to other sites, I may be wrong but i hope not.

Here's the link address to the concrete self pollination Idea.
