Greenhouse Bear Attack!

Post by daiv »

I posted in the free-for-all that a black bear was seen at the farm that is a good distance south of it's typical range here in MN. I just noticed yesterday that this bear apparently visited my greenhouse.

Not sure how long ago this happened, but based on the muddy prints, I think since the last rainfall we had - or it would have washed off.

No real damage done - just a few little holes. There were four paw marks altogether, the mud makes the toes clearly visible on some.

YIKES! That's a bigger problem than I'd be comfortable dealing with!

Like Tony says, nothing good to eat inside so I think it lost interest pretty fast. I am sure if there was food in there, the side would have been torn off.

Notice there are two prints in the first picture.

Sound like you'll have to bring a shotgun if you want to do some late night cactus watching Daiv!

of a very large rat, I dunno how I missed this topic but.. haha And I complain about pigs.. I pig might charge ya, but they rarely do any damage (unless they knock you onto a rock wall and you break ribs(this didnt happen to me but I am careful around the pigs, esp the female ones with babies)...
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.
