Replacing the plastic....on the greenhouse.

Post by SCS »

Good evening-

Any advice on best way to replace the plastic? The first time was deemed a *gut wrenching nightmare*.

For installing it, have a BBQ and invite friends over and just before it's time to eat say; I need a little help on a project and make sure it is not windy. Good luck. :D

Yes, step 1: do it on a NON-windy day ;)

Actually it can be done with just 3 people. 2 to walk it down and one to feed it up an over the front. With the tall size, you may need 2 people to help feed it with broom sticks or similar. (Obviously nothing sharp)
Shouldn't take more than an hour to cover it and secure it.

Or you can try when it IS windy. The wind will do half of the work. Image

Just make sure that people on the other side are strong enough to hold the plastik down. Image

Don't even mention wind and plastic! I tried laying 9 meter strips of weedcloth on a windy day....ended up having to chase one strip down the street when it got away from me!

That's why there must be some strong people around. :D To hold it.

Hey that looks like a serious greenhouse. What are you growing in there? It looks like you are not just replacing, but also expanding?
