So far, so good. Not had a problem any nasties since I made all the net protection. All the new buds are all in tact. Have now put net on the windows, so as soon as the gymnos. start openning their buds I will remove all net from around them and fingers crossed they should be alright. Will have to start moving everything back sometime in September I think at least those that are more delicate with regards the temp. as it usually starts to get a bit chilly at night in September. At the moment it is still quite warm +30°c max, and around19°c min.

:D Tiggy i think thats a fantastic set up ya got there to protect them from the bugs/pests. =D>
For me i got several 5 lined skinks living in the cacti GH eating everything in sight as for bugs, and the no see-um pests well they stay away cause i treated with pestacide. :P I have several toad friends that live in my tropicals GH that eat all the bugs in there.

Hey there Barracuda, :hello2: how nice to hear from you, was thinking the other day that I've not seen your comments on here for some time. We used to have a resident toad here too, but over the last few years he's disappeared. Did have a baby one around earlier in the year but not even seen him lately. Guess it's been far too dry for him. Well the weather here has taken a very quick from summer to autumn and a drastic drop in temps. within a couple of days, so much so, that I have slowly moving the plants into the gh as quite a bit of rain is forecast for the next few days. Tonight I managed to get the last ones in as when I checked, the temp outside had dropped to 8°c or 46°f (in pounds shillings and pence  ) On the positive side I may not have to worry too much now about insects. Will post new photos of the gh soon when I can get my photos transfered from the mem.cd. onto the comp.again. Had problem with and intruder on it and have tried so many things to get rid of it and somewhere along the line one of these other programmes has messed up photo downloading. Oh well that's life I suppose :( How are your baby tortoises getting on? I am babysitting our neighbour's tortoise at the moment. but I think she will be hibernation any time now with this weather.

you should be able to get a barrier type insecticide, we use them here primarily to get bugs out of the house, spray the perimeter of your green house inside and out, would probably kill most bugs.

Thanks, will definitely keep that in mind for the new season. At the moment though, I am more occupied at trying to keep the temp. stable as winter is very quickly approaching. :colors:
