Well deserved, I think. It got my vote.
But disappointed the photo of cactushobbyman received no votes at all (was my second favourite).

What a great contest!

I think it helps having the reminder thread in the general section. Jens and John C really do a great job making sure the contests and voting start and end on time! So that makes it even better that we have more attention on the contests.

I used to send out a mass e-mail announcing the contests, but I always felt bad sending mass e-mail. Didn't want it to seem like spam. However, I just realized, members can click to be notified if the picture contest post is updated. So that would be a great way to "opt-in" to get an e-mail when the contests start.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
