Good day all:
I am trying to determine the cause of the bleached base of my two young Fero Wislizeni.
They have been this way for some time, and I believe it started last summer while in the hot direct sun for extended periods.
I have since kept then off the front line, and away from the direct sun. I think they may have improved some but they still have the "tan" colour at the base. I fertilize often, and they are in a good mineral mix so the only thing I can think of is that they were/are getting too much light.
Can anyone diagnose another cause? What can I do to get them back to their proper state?
Thank you.
Andrew

To me, the plant doesn't look like wislizeni. Anyway, the tan base can signal orange rot, root mealybugs, etc. It can also not indicate a problem. I don't think it's due to heat or sun. Feros are pretty tough.

I doubt it's from over watering either, but might be from bad soil, root rot, or orange rot, slime mold or something lik ethat. I dont know about cold either
BTW not sure which Fero it is..
