So shouldn't be long now then Daiv. Thought our winters dragged on long enough but nothing like yours. Look forward to the updates.
These propane heaters that several of you use, are they pure propane, or propane+butane? :?: I only ask, as it is an idea that I am also playing with for the future. My little paraffin heater keeps gh nice and warm enough through the winter, but I have to place a screen in front of all the plants every night and then take it off again in the morning, IF the temps. rise enough. If I don't do this ritual everything is tended to get sooted up. On cloudy days, it's been on all day and night. :( I am still working on the best idea for a new larger gh and have seen gas heaters with thermostats which sound a good idea, but when I asked the chappy from where we buy gas cylinders for cooking with, he said the cylinders that he has are a mixture of propane and butane. (The butane being added to prevent freezing). Would be very interested to hear opinions from people who use gas.

This is the exact heater that I use: http://www.mrheater.com/product.aspx?catid=41&id=116" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You probably could use something smaller. Can you get something like this over there?

The ones on the link are for sale in USA. Have found some on ebay. Will have to look into more tomorrow maybe. Have to sort all the accessories before rather than after getting a gh. Thanks for the link

The little propane heater I have can stave off outside temps of perhaps 28F or so. So I should be good starting this weekend.

How the greenhouse can hit 90F when it is 30F and overcast is apparently because the sun puts out enough energy to do that. I purposely mentioned that because it is really surprising.

Thats how it is here even on over cast days now its real warm and toasty in the GH few times reaching 115 or so but the min the sun starts going down and gets to where its just below the tree line even if its still light out the temp in the GH drops super fast. Hence need for heater till night temps stay warmer , i see we are in for several more nights low 40's high 30's, screw that im using the heater for now at night. :mrgreen:

What are you growing that can't take those temperatures for an hour or two?
