As some of you know I was banging my head (for quite some time now) because I wanted to create a database for my cacti/succulent (maybe some other). While doing it I annoyingly bother every member who had 5 minutes of time to click on such topic.
I think I finaly got it done. Programming I mean (the input part still waiting).
So I want to thank all of you who participate with suggestions, comments and even links to some programmes.
It should look like this:
Main data for each plant:
Aditional data for each plant:
Database for my plants
Re: Database for my plants
It looks very good Maja. What program did you finally use for it?

Re: Database for my plants
Looks good. How have you got all the species pages linked up? Do you have them connected taxonomically?
Re: Database for my plants
I have two tables in my data base. First one has all my plants names involved (with one internet pic - of how should one plant look, and all that data we usually see Colour of flower, encounterability, habit, etc.) Another table is for my plants with pics I took and data from where thhey were and when I got them, and even more pics from flowering time, etc. If needed more page to each plant/species is added.CactusFanDan wrote:Looks good. Tables are linked over one column (Common name in my case - I'm sorry I can not remember right expression at the moment). So when I write a row in first table (or usualy in the form) there automaticly a plant shows in second table (and form). It only needs refreshment sometimes.
The only thing that bothers me is with printing the forms as a report. There is a little deviation in length of the sheet and somewhere at page 50 the whole field goes to another page of printing. And that is something I couldn't deal with yet. If someone has any adice how to resolve that I will be very grateful.
