Late comment, Dennis, sorry I missed original post, but just as unbelievable to catch it in Nov. Also noticed the stunning multi-offset E. grusonii tucked off to the side of one pic -- equally amazing to this upstate New Yorker! Doesn't even need blossoms ! :D

You won't notice the flowers if you don't look for them. Plenty of seeds. :)

My gifted grusoni is a good 14" across, supposedly large enough for blossoms. I assure you I look every day when out on deck, since it's plunked "rat" in front of my adirondack rocker -- no blossoms :( But the spines glow great in sunset, so not a big deal :D

Thats a beautiful garden. I wish we had that climate here so I could grown outside. Nothing beats planting directly into the ground the excellent condition is easily seen in your plants.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

A new season has arrived, one month early, one year later and no rain, today is 90 degrees and normal is 72, so I guess mother nature says it's time, so here is the show. :D

The next three to four days will be the show, then I'll have to wait until next year.

Always super beautiful to see your "Spring Announcement", Dennis -- but alas, even more painful this year, considering the heavy mortality that many of us "up North" suffered this Winter, including (one of) your last picture! Although Internet nursery bought, I got 2 blossoms last Summer from my E. horizon. Now I only have a glimmer of hope it's still alive :(
