Unless it's 1000 seeds germinating -- algae. Another reason for baggie method! Although it doesn't always kill it all, it restricts it pretty severely. Algae usually doesn't kill seedlings because in baggie method doesn't appear for several weeks after seeds germinated. When they're real young -- like yours -- can definitely inhibit more germination or interfere with what is already "up"!

I use a small spray with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% solution in it. But be very careful not to spray too much at once. Your soil will bubble. It does get rid of the algae and I haven't seen it harm any seedlings but try not to spray much on them just in case.

About the Tephrocactus geometricus, where the seeds pea size and light brown?

From my experience part of the seeds usually stay on top of the seedlings, hard to remove from the seedlings. I do not see them hanging on yours, and I don't seem to see them anywhere in or on the soil. So I wonder if you had Tephrocactus geometricus at all.

I Found one not germinated yet. It is a bit dirty, but it was light brown:

I noticed that some of your Adenium obedum have different colored stems, reddish and green. I don't know if you know, that the green stemmed are likely to produce white flowers, you might want to take note of them as they will lose this color difference as they grow and you won't be to tell them apart from the pink ones. I'm not sure though if this hold true for arabicum and other Adenium species.

First I Thank you for the note and for the nice comment. Than I have to ask you "Are you sure?" Becouse plants in one pot came together in one package (as the same species) Is it possible, they should have different flowers???? But then again....they will flower some day, don't they????

I have no first hand experience on this one, this was an advise given by a friend several years ago when I first tried growing them from seeds. But before I can see the results, i gave away most of my plants to deal with personal issues.

Among the plants that was left, I had one plant produced a distinctly different shade of pink (no whites tho) from the rest. These were grown form a single seed pod I collected.

But then again....they will flower some day, don't they????

Yep, they sure will . Then we will know for sure if this advise holds true.

How long does it take to get to that size in your climate? It takes about a year here in our tropical climate.
