Hi
I have two small cuttings of Euphorbia cylindrifolia which are flowering at the moment. Am I correct in thinking that these cuttings will not form the caudex which is typical of E. cylindrifolia, they will just form roots??
Regards
Eileen

Re: Euphorbia cylindrifolia
I read that somewhere about caudex Euphorbia. Can't remember where. I got a cutting for a crassicaulis and thought the same thing. But after it rooted I repotted the piece because it was buried quite far in and was surprised to find a small caudex. It wasn't fatter than the stem but the stem is hairy and the unearthed caudex was smooth. It is now growing a new stem and I am hoping the caudex below the earth is growing nicely (I believe they only grow while below ground).
