Beaucarnea babies

can anyone tell me if this plants pups/offsets can be rooted as easily as agaves or aloes and the like? I dont want to lop any off if there is no chance of success.
I believe it is Beaucarnea Recurvata.

Tony,

Some people do it with nearly 100% success, others with barely 50%. Having no personal experience (afraid of failure) I can only guess that it has to do with the time of year. They do their best growing in spring, summer, so my guess is that that's the best time. They should be handled like other succulents. Cut close to the trunk of the original plant, allow to callouse and plant in dry or nearly dry soil in the shade misting occasionally until new growth is observed.
