Did some transplanting and finally took all the volunteer seedlings out of the Boojum Tree pot. Various Turbinicapus, , Ferocactus viridescens , Mammillaria coahuilensis and tiny Epthelanthas micromeris. Long roots because of the larger pot they grew in. This pot was left out during our Winter rains and the seedlings seemed to do fine. First few years I remember they would almost disappear during the dry fall weather under the gravel.

"All That rain" I know its almost a desert here but with air conditioning from the Pacific ocean.

But its raining now so I put a bunch more seeds in the re-planted boojum tree and placed it out in the rain. The seeds will fall in between the small gravel and a few may sprout. Not how you want to germinate rare seeds but for extra old ones why not ?

Mammillaria sanchez mejorade 1 year old. Replanted Escobaria minima 3 years old. And I think Mammallaria pectinifera a couple years old transplaned out of the mixed cactus pot .

Epithelantha greggii maybe 3 years old ?

This year and last years pots. last year didn't get very good germination except for the Mammillaria sancez-mejoradae. I think I let them dry out too soon during germination ? One pot from last year has a few scattered epthelantha and ariocarpus and one echinocactus. This year was better Mammillaria roseocentra and some epithelantha bokeii with the bokeii leaning like they are not getting enough light.

Mammillaria roseocentra is called Mammillaria magallanii var. roseocentra

Seedling progress, I've only sown 1 pot this year running out of room to put them. The Pot I have germinating now is going through the wet watch out for fungus stage about 2 weeks in from sowing. Already lost one to a white fungus. Keeping the plastic off at night putting it on during the day. They are very small at this stage. Here's some pots from last year treated like adults but with more shade.

If I have fungus problems ( often) I use a combination of drier air, hydrogen peroxide, and root tone rooting powder which has a fungicide in it.

Too many seedlings were rotting away so I added rootone powder a few times and exposed to drier air, hopefully this does it. Gives it a white wash look.

Roottone has a fungicide in it and I water it in.

Saw a big fungus knat in there also yuck.

Cheiridopsis most are still with me so far. They seem to grow a succulent stem and then it dies up maybe turning into a root ?
