That is cool. I did not know Leuchtenbergia would produce suckers. Did you do anything to make it sucker? How old is your plant? How do you care for your plant?
I'd sure like mine to sucker. Mine just flowered on Sunday for the first time in many years. It has a second bud coming on. My second plant shows no sign of buds.
How big is your plant? Did you make a photo?

My plants were purchased prior to 2009 and I've really never known how to take care of them. They must need a lot more water than I've been giving them. The tubercles dry out at the tips.

Maybe this is normal for the species. Palms or pachypodiums also keep green leaves just on top of the stems.They must need a lot more water than I've been giving them. The tubercles dry out at the tips.

Something is still in bloom this September.
Hail-beeten Opuntia recovered and in some pots I ended with more plants than before because some were divided in half, rooted and even produced a pad on top.

That was the size I decided to de-graft the top, after 2 seasons. The stock (Pereskiopsis) was leafless but still was supporting some growth. Now waiting for roots, maybe next spring.

Fall is here to stay, hopefully for long time.
These and some other plants were left outdoors to experience first subzero night temps (2ce in Calgary so far).
Real cold-hardy plants already shrunk ready for harsh colds typical for local winters.
Otherwise day-highs are still really warm 20 - 25 C as in many places worldwide this year.
Indoors: Haworthia nigra is in bloom.
Bloomed whole summer till now.
These two did ~100% gain for the season, perfect.
Ariocarpus time!
These and some other plants were left outdoors to experience first subzero night temps (2ce in Calgary so far).
Real cold-hardy plants already shrunk ready for harsh colds typical for local winters.
Otherwise day-highs are still really warm 20 - 25 C as in many places worldwide this year.

I've got these as seeds in 2013, so ~ 10 years old. Eight plants survived till now.
My old T. bonatzii prepared just 2 - 3 flowers this winter.
It is time to change the soil in coming months.

The spring is here finally,
Matucana aureiflora.
First buds and flowers for these Notocactus submammulosus, my seedlings.
Mammillaria rekoi and M. zeilmanniana.
Gymnocalycium bruchii.
This is the bloom of the above-shown plant. All on sunny windowsills the whole winter.
