About twenty years ago, Don and I took a great number of approx. 2ft long (62cm) stem tip cuttings from my mature columnars which he rooted in his greenhouse. The following photo shows those plants today growing in The International Peace Garden cactus greenhouse:
With Curator, who is 6ft+ (approx. 183cm) tall
