What cactus is this?

What cactus is this?

Hello,

I complimented a cactus in my neighbors' front yard and they graciously cut off piece for me to grow myself. I've searched around online trying to identify it but have had no luck. Any ideas what cactus (or other succulent) I've got in this picture?

Looks more like a C. peruvians monstrose to me.
