the 'art texture' plugin from here is prolly my favorite freebie, it renders gold really well.

It didn't use to require registration, but registration is real fast (you don't have to wait for an email or anything) and if you uncheck the "recieve offers" box when downloading, you won't recieve offers or ads.

not as versatile as these freebies, but more fun to play with.

more plugin madness

PS. make sure your image editor has a plugin folder and you install them into that folder, most plugins don't work as stand alone apps.

I like freebies. I don't know if this one is a freebie, not like Gimp or OpenOffice, but I think it is really good. It's a botanical dictionary. http://www.cactus-art.biz/note-book/Dic ... nary_A.htm

And then I just want to tell you that the link you posted below the text "free background" is not working. I get a page where it says "Forbidden". Of course this made me really curious :lol:

The pictures you made with the gold-plugin are amazing.

Thanks Helena,
It was just a link to the full size image. Don't know why it was forbidden, it can still be accessed by clicking on the pic above, when the webshots page opens, click on 'full image'. (since the link isn't working I'll delete it.)
Thanks for the link I like free books too, here are a couple more good links;
