It was rain early in this morning which was 1st rain since the end of January. I hope a true autumn came soon.
The photo is an ariocarpus 1st filial hybrid, retusus v furfraceus cv Suguri cauliflower x fissuratus cv godzilla. Since I wanted to see the hybridization result earlier, 24 seedlings were grafted 4 years ago. The cactus on the photo is 9 cm in diameter. I hope it was in flower in this autumn.

G'morning ossy96,
I like that red brick dressing
The top dressing is not red brick. The product is called "zeolite" which is crashed permeable rock. Zeolite is reddish when it was dried but it turns the colour as like on the photo when it was watered. I use 2~4 mm size.

I set my small greenhouse for autumn/winter in this morning. Actual job was removing shade clothes covered over the greenhouse during summer time. This job was carried out mid of March normally but it was a bit late in this year.
The photo is the small greenhouse removed shade clothes. Matured asterias are accommdated in the greenhouse.
