October 2016 Mammillaria muehlenpfortii

Post by kaitlyn25 »

I know it is a bit early but I figured with it being almost the end of September I could get a way with it.

This cactus is my favorite of all my cacti.

It is endemic to Mexico (Guanajuato, Queretaro de Arteaga, San Luis Potosi). Its habit is globose with pink blossoms.

It is common in cultivation but its conservation status is unknown, the species in its natural habitat is not well studied.

Just an additional note those are old pictures of mine... they are now in a sand and gravel mixture :)
