G'morning Uri,
As I mentioned before, there is no guarantee seedlings to be variegated ones even if both parents were variegated cacti.
A matured true miracle kabuto is covered body by flecking completely and you can not see variegated or not.
I can not see any evidences of miracle kabuto on the grafted scion.
The shape of tubercles is different from ones of miracle kabuto.
The shape of flecking is miracle kabuto.
I think the gene of miracle kabuto is mixed on the scion but it is not positive.
I recommend:
Degraft the scion in a good season
Keep it until the cactus reaches to 5 years old.
Frank

Hi Hanazono. Can you please explain the process of preservation of pollen ?Hanazono wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2016 9:32 pm All Ariocarpus including kotschoubeyanus are not self-fertile.
You have to wait until stigma to open completely and pollen turn to be powdery.
2nd day of opening will show this condition but you have to make sure the condition and wait.
I pinch pistils by a tweezers rub stigmas of other plants.
If the opening timing of 2 plants did not meet, you can use preserved pollen.

G'morning bikram,
2. Fill dried pollen in a gelatine capsule
3. Keep the capsule in a small plastic case with drying agent
4. Store the case in a fridge
It is possible to use the pollen for 6 months

Thank you very much! As I have small no of plants and most of the time they do not bloom together, I missed the opportunity to pollinate. Now I must try by your method.
