Hello from Maryland

Post by Roehrich »

Hi all, I'm Peter, from Maryland, in the States. I am a railroader by trade and a cell biologist by training (unusual combination, I know!). I have a small succulents and cacti collection of about 10 plants. I've always had a soft spot for cacti; the first plant I owned was a cactus at about 6 years old. To me, they typify what Dr Ian Malcolm said in Jurassic Park: "Life, uh, finds a way." My biology experience was in mammalian and yeast systems, so I'm having fun learning about plant biology. Glad to be a member of the group!

Hello Peter and welcome to the forum!
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
