Greetings from South east Queensland, Australia.
Always liked Cacti, got my first when about 10 (26 now). Haven't really had much to do with the hobby but looking to get more into it now I'm looking at getting a house of my own (embarrassing but still with parents. They're more into succulents, I prefer spiky!).
Let's see.. I'll get some pics when it's light tommorow. Planted some seeds on Saturday that I got off of eBay. Meant to be Saguaro and Cardon. So hopefully they are what they said they are or else I'm committing a lot of my life to something that's not what I wanted lol. Anyways, so far 4 Cardons have come up.
Cheers,
Troy.

Hello and welcome to the forum! In my opinion too, spiky aggressive cacti are much attractive than succulents.
Seed growing is very enjoyable and rewarding. But concerning cardons, personnally i wouldn't grow them from seed since they are quite slow. They are very common in nurseries. So even if you get a small 6-7" cactus, you'll have at least 4-5 years headstart on seed grown cardons. I'm the happy father of 7 cardons and they grow quite fast after their first 3-4 years

There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
