What is Your Cacti Collection Theme Song?

Ten years ago the vinyl album that keeps on playing every morning by my brother is the Cat Steven's Greatest Hits.

Because every morning after waking up I go to my small greenhouse and do nothing just staring at them. And still now, everytime I hear any Cat Steven's songs anywhere I always remember my cactus and succulents collection. Hahaha

Might seem odd to some people but i work with my cacti on heavy metal music. It seems so appropriate given the roughness of both. I come home from work very tired and heavy metal pumps me up.
It's mostly old (mostly british) music: black sabbath, Dio, ozzy ousbourne, iron maiden, metallica (only old albums), anthrax, dream theater, Ac/Dc... and a little pink floyd on the side.

Just WOW! Very powerful and he's got a great control of his voice. Im just wondering and I wish I can sing like him on a Karaoke. Im sure it get peoples head get bangin! LOL #goosebumps

Lots of good music in this thread, my dad is a big Cat Stevens fan and we'd play Tea For the Tillerman on road trips. I went through a couple years of metal in high school, I'm pretty familiar with those bands and still listen to some Sabbath once in a while (fun to play on guitar too, although Metallica/Megadeth type stuff gets a little difficult). Pink Floyd is of course great. Country outlaw I don't know a lot about but I enjoy some Willie Nelson and Billy Joe Shaver, I still have to get around to listening to Honky Tonk Heroes one of these days.

As for me I'm all about Captain Beefheart (the man holding the bomb in my avatar) and K-Pop lately.. really opposite ends of the music spectrum there but there's some kind of brainwashing effect with K-Pop and I'm happy to be a victim of it (also I'm half Korean and I pick up some words here and there, so that's been fun).

the pillows are my favorite band ever (I started listening to them when I was 10, so they hold a special place in my heart) and this song seems to be the most cactus-related It's not my favorite song of theirs, and is from their 'lounge music era' which admittedly had some awesome guitar work, but just isn't my favorite style -- but if you can make out the Engrish in this song you will hear "Oh yeah/ I'm just standing/ Still like a cactus alone". Besides that, the album art has cacti all over it.

Trip Dancer, on the other hand, is one of my all-time favorites of theirs. It was recorded only two years after the above, but their style shifted dramatically in that time:

I have been to Japan twice to see them play there, and I hoooope I can get the money together to go next year for their 30th anniversary show.

Interesting juxtaposition, cosmotoad! Beefheart and K-pop? haha I don't know any K-pop, but I know of a couple of Korean rock bands that I've enjoyed -- have you heard Crying Nut? or Theatre8 ?

Nope I've never heard those bands, there's one called Guckkasten that I've heard a little bit of but I haven't really got into K-rock (yet). I know The Pillows from FLCL, which is a really wacky Japanese anime. Only heard a few songs but I liked them, I should check out Trip Dancer some time.
