Cutting or not

Post by Mihaela »

Hello.
I just find this optunia falled in a pot at someone. I took it and I don't know what to do. Some of the pieces I think that I have to cut them but some looks good.
I have to cut them all before to put them in a pot or let them like they are?
Thank you!

Lots of the pieces are badly shaped - long, thin and curling (due to etiolation), or scarred.

I'd cut off and discard all the thin weak growth and only try to plant 3 or 4 nice-shaped, unscarred pieces.
