Should I transplant these offspring

Post by Love cacti »

I have these two cacti not certain of their name.
They have produced little babies. Should I separate them and place in another pot . Currently they are sharing a pot with another cactus. Not certain how to separate since I have never done this before. Thanks for any advice.

There is no point in separating the offsets unless you want lots of plants. I think a small number of larger plants look more impressive, and they take up less space, need less watering etc.

Having 2 different plants in the same pot often isn't a good idea - normally 1 will grow faster and gradually take over, so think about separating the 2 when you repot. If they both seem healthy, there is no need to do it straight away.
