ID Help Please

Wondering what these two cacti are, any ideas?

The first one is likely a Matucana madisoniorum.

The second one is probably a Melocactus of some variety. These are difficult to ID until they get older and develop their cephalium. Some are easily identified when young like the M. azureus because of it's blue skin, but this isn't one.

I'd say the first is gymnocalycium saglionis or pflanzii (it feels more saglionis than pflanzii). The second one i agree on melocactus sp.
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
One of the few cactus lovers in Lebanon (zone 11a) :mrgreen:

I think you're right on the first one. The more I look at it, the more I agree. I was basing my initial guess off a plant I recently added to my collection that I think was improperly identified when acquired it.
