Hello from Los Angeles!
I've recently gotten into collecting cacti as my boss at work is a pretty serious collector and I love going to the Huntington. I've been lurking these forums to learn about cool species, where to find them and general care tips.
I'm interested in becoming more involved in the cactus and succulent community (although the LACSS is a little too far for me). I look forward to chatting with and learning from everyone on the forum!

I also extend a warm welcome to you. Next to being able to go to local cactus club meetings, this forum is the best thing you can do for your new hobby. You can obtain not only loads of advice here, but may also be able to receive seeds and plants from fellow forum members.
