Re: today's flowering
Its the orange or red flowers that never look real. The color saturation is so bright that they look fake.
Nice..

hi theclosetguy
I take the photos with my camera and it is in self-intelligent mode ... there is a mode called .....high dynamics ... where you can alter the color ...
the flowers that I present are of the natural color that the flowers have

Re: today's flowering
That was a general remark. Cactus flowers in general never look real. The Red and Orange flowers especially tend to be more dynamic and bright adding to the effect. No comment on your photo abilities. The Plants and flower look awesome.

Hello dinfelu,
I love that little Turbinicarpus gieldorfianus. I just purchased one of those early this year and perhaps it will flower next year.
At least, after seeing your plant in bloom, I have now an idea what to expect.

Hello dinfelu,
I do have the purchase of a Turbinicarpus viereckii on my priority list. It seems to produce a decent-sized flower and the blossom color is also appealing.
Of course, the Gymnocalycium baldianum is a pretty cactus too and easy to cultivate, plus it produces flowers several times each year. That is hard to beat.

hi Harald
I am very happy with my turbinicarpus, now what I want to find out is if it is self-fertile,
I hope that with this flowering I can find out
you are right, gymnocalycium flowers several times a year and that shade of red is very beautiful
