Echeveria "Black Beauty" looking sick.

Post by Daedalux »

Hey there my good fellas,

My wife's echeveria is looking sick, the lower leaves are mushy and very soft, I need some advice, could it be underwatering?

She still has bold new leaves coming through but the now mushy leaves were fine too a week ago, she has not been watered for like 2 weeks now.

Looking forward for some advice.

Cheers and thank you!

Echeverias are usually pretty tolerant to underwatering or overwatering in my experience, so you could give it some water and see what happens. Old leaves dying off isn't too unusual, so as long as there's fresh growth I think it will recover.
