Herreanthus meyeri

From seed Aiko gave me. No Plastic cover but they are in a shallow dish on a window shill and I can add water from below with the dish. A little out of foucus not enough light for the camera I guess.

Never even heard of herreanthus myself but I just looked it up on google and seems like a nice looking plant. I've got some lapidaria about the same size and I'm guessing they grow in a similar way. Good luck with your seedlings

I am guessing they are Winter growers . I had good luck with some conophytum seed Aiko gave me last year sowing this time of year indoors same spot same month.

lapidaria maybe are summer growers ? Not completely certain about this but Craig Fry has a list posted on this site about succulents and growing seasons.

I treat them the same as any Conophytum. For me they are winter active.

Well my lapidaria are under grow lights in a pretty warm shed, so it's pretty much always summer in there and they seem to like it so far
