One thing good about growing plants, if you kill one, it's not the end of the world
not like losing a pet dog, or even a lizard
but you don't want a 1000 dogs, one dog is all you need
More plants can be grown in time
Here are my top 2 plants
lost after repotting in winter
Mammillaria pectinifera Discocactus horstii
on it's own roots I may dig up some more dead gems next week
