Pleiospilos nelii softening

Post by DesertSun »

My first and only Pleiospilos nelii is getting softer. I haven't watered it since I got it, since I read that it is to be treated like a cactus actually.
Thus, no water in the winter. It is in a super draining mix, hasn't been exposed to rain and I give it enough sun. What could be the problem for the body getting more soft (I can feel it when I squeeze lightly). Should I water maybe?

I'm no expert, but usually when its getting its new leaves it absorbs the old leaves so that maybe why its getting softer.
