Hi!
I've had succulents for most of my life, but have fairly recently (in the past year) obtained quite a few cacti. I actually grew up and lived in Texas until 4 years ago, so I'm really having to do my research to keep my plants healthy in this cold, dark country!
I have two cats and a dog, who luckily don't seem to like bugging the prickly members of the family too much. I've also recently bought quite a few kinds of cacti seeds which, after exhausting amounts of research, I'll be attempting to germinate soon. Very excited!
Here is a bit of my collection.
Just rescued this terscheckii from Ikea, half of it was rotting away
And the pets!
Sorry for the picture overload.
Anyway I am happy I found this forum and I'm sure I will learn a lot here![

That's a nice collection Welcome to the forum where we can't get enough photos you are lucky your pets keep away from the plants. My dogs don't care about the plants much but my rottweiler's butt has a mind of its own and it's always knocking away everything
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

One question: What kind of plants are in those three pots in the front on the first picture?

My dog's butt wiggles can be quite aggressive but luckily she is close to the floor
The three small ones are L. williamsii! My most treasured plants.
Thank you! I'm a bit nervous, I actually tried once before and had miserable luck with the seedlings. Just one mishap after the other. The only way to learn is to try though I suppose!
