Has anyone tried to graft onto this stock? I bought 3 cheap ones the other day and think they might be good for grafting or at least practicing grafting with, but I can't seem to see anything online about using it as a stock.
The ribs are quite thin unlike what I've seen on the Trichocereus grafts so I'm presuming I could only grafting smaller plants onto it?
Cereus Peruvians for grafting?
Re: Cereus Peruvians for grafting?
It is possible to use Cereus peruvians as grafting stocks.
Cutting of off-shoots are normally used as stocks for large scions.
Are they seedlings?

Ahh thats good news! These Cereus are about 8" tall I'd say. I noticed they are quite star shaped as their ribs are so thin, so I was unsure what size scion I could use as my understanding is that you don't want to have the scion over-hanging at the edges as it dries up too quickly?

Those little ones could be used for small scions, but they grow quite fast - if you want bigger ones, you won't have to wait too long. Cuttings root easily, too.
